ABOUT US

OUR PURPOSE

Why start another ministry? The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few reflect the reason for starting Redemption (Luke 10:2).  Jesus suggests that there is no shortage of people that need to be “redeemed,” but there is a lack of laborers. Hence, there is no such thing as having too many churches. When we observe the business community, you will notice the same principle in business. I’ve noticed that there are several McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Kroger’s, Publix, and other venues within proximity to each other. However, I’ve never heard anyone suggest that these establishments should close because we have enough food for our community! We only hear these sentiments within the realm of Christendom.

I’ve been working in ministry for the last fourteen years and I’ve noticed no shortage of a harvest. But, there is a lack of workers to send out in the field. During these years I’ve seen many individuals that are unchurched or unattended concerning various physical, emotional, intellectual, and financial needs. There are lots of individuals who are seeking spiritual enrichment, hope, and an abode that will address their holistic being.  Therefore, Redemption seeks to provide solutions to the problems that cause these issues. With the help of God’s grace, I pray that Redemption will be the answers to these problems that plaque humanity.

OUR VISION

What is the Vision for Redemption Ministry? The vision is to restore people to their proper place in these four areas of their life. This illumination derives from the story of Job because he was attacked in these four areas by Satan. As a result, Redemption seeks to restore people in their faith, fitness, finances, and families.

OUR STRATEGY

What strategy will we use for ministry? The strategy we will use is the same method Jesus implemented during His messianic ministry. It’s called the 12.12.12 plan.  Biblically speaking the number twelve at times denotes completeness.  Hence, we will start out this ministry with twelve core members just as Jesus began His messianic ministry. These twelve believers will be the disciples that we use to implement the 12.12.12 ministry strategy.  Each number in this plan will indicate the strategy for the ministry at Redemption.

12/12/12

(12) The first twelve deals with the launching of a ministry with twelve disciples.

(12) The second twelve deals with the number of invites and potential disciples we are trying to obtain monthly.  Each member will be given a form for monthly invitations. As each member invites a person to Christ or to attend Redemption, they will notate it on their form.

(12) The final twelve deals with the twelve families that will minister to monthly. Each month part of our outreach is addressing the need of one family within the community.

REDEMPTION DEFINED

Why call this ministry Redemption?  The word redemption or λυτρÏŒω (figuratively) means to restore "something back, into the possession of its rightful owner – i.e. rescuing from the power and possession of an alien possessor" (Wm. Barclay). Therefore, the core focus of this ministry is to restore those individuals’ who have broken their fellowship (Saints) with the church and to restore those who have never had a relationship with God (unbelievers). Christ redeeming us from the penalty of sin is the underlying ethos of our Christian Message.
